Originating in a small Swedish village in 1928 the original name for the brand was Skjortfabriken Special. They predominantly sold their men's shirts to the locals, however when a salesman from the UK showed interest in bringing the brand to these shores they quickly changed their name to the much more pronounceable Eton. This was in no small part due to the association of the Eton name with class and sophisticated elegance of which was the ethos shared by the brand.
